About down and feathers
For centuries, feathers and down have been valued by man as an excellent insulating material that works perfectly in bedding. Down is a material with an unmatched ability to accumulate heat while maintaining excellent moisture permeability and extremely light weight. No other filling material, whether natural (cotton, silk, sheep wool, animal hair, etc.) or synthetic (polyester fibres), can match down in this respect.
The advantage of down is not only its unparalleled parameters, but also its environmentally friendly nature – down is 100% biodegradable, and its impact on climate change is as much as 18 times lower than that of the popular polyester fibre. Down can also be recovered from used textiles, which is in line with the requirements of the circular economy, which are so important today.
